Congratulations, Los Osos! You are Now Internationally Famous for Something OTHER than a Sewer
Of all the "dive bars" in the world, only one deserves the spotlight in Wikipedia:

Excellent post Ron, thank you - this info made it over to Cal Poly and was enjoyed there too. Long Live The Merrimaker, a GREAT bar!! My neighbor Steve does the Karaoke there!

See if this works
or paste Bicycleweed.com and look for it in there. The Owner; Louise Ida Holmes passed away recently, so frequent it, while this Baywood institution is still there.

Condolences to the family and Los Osos too if it goes away.
Everyone looses in some way, sniff.

I hear that the nephew wants to sell it for a mil, or so.
Buyer should beware though, because not unlike Carlocks' donuts, there certainly will be less (If any) spendable dollars around in the near future of Los Osos with the millions per month being flushed out of town along with many, many good folk.
Drink up while you can still afford that dirty grey-goose martini, shaken or stirred.
